The Gulfstream Hotel is located “Where the Tropics Begin,” adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway in downtown Lake Worth, within the Palm Beach area. The hotel is a short walk to beaches, shopping, restaurants, and the Lake Worth Golf Course. As the only remaining grand hotel from Palm Beach’s “Roaring 20s,” the Gulfstream boasts ocean views from 70% of its rooms.
Designed by G. Lloyd Preacher & Company, this historic building featured 135 guest rooms when it opened on December 9, 1924. The Gulfstream Hotel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 11, 1983.
Currently, the property is undergoing redevelopment after previous owners began demolition. The property has been fully entitled, and historic tax credits have been secured.
